The closest LDS church from Manzanillo was in Limon, an hour away. It was difficult to prepare for the trek, but we made it every week for 5 weeks. The ward seemed strong, but no one spoke English and we didn't feel the connection that we felt in Playa Junquillal. That was the best ward! Missionaries make such a difference! After a couple of weeks of attending classes where we understood zero, we decided to have our own class in nature after Sacrament Meeting. We went to Cahuita National Forest and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and nice, sandy beaches.
Since it was Sunday and we didn't want to swim, the kids found other entertaining activities, like climbing this crazy tree! (Until they were all covered in ants and quickly jumped down!)
And climbing on this cool branch jutting out over the water.
These seashells made perfect teeth, ha ha!
We found a green and black poison dart frog and this beautiful eyelash viper!
