Grandparents!

First of all, Lily lost her other front tooth!  The Tooth Fairy here pays in colones, although she didn't want to have to give up her tooth:).  She kept it. She's looking so grown up!

And second of all, Brad and Koryn came to visit!!! They brought CHOCOLATE!!!

We went to dinner at a cute local place and it was so delicious!  (Except Brad's dish, which was mussells, and he did well at just eating it without complaining.)

Happy Valentine's Day!  Adam picked me some beautiful flowers from our backyard and made a bouquet. 

We hiked to this beautiful, secluded beach that could only be accessed during low tide.  The path to get there through the national forest was so muddy from the past 2 months of constant rain that we couldn't use it.  Ahh, it felt so good to just relax to the sounds of the ocean!  It was so strong that day and nearly washed Lincoln away!

We talked to a couple without kids and they were impressed that we were still traveling.  In our many conversations with other travelers we have learned that people think life ends when you have kids.  Well, we're here to say that LIFE GETS BETTER!!!  We are LIVING with five kids in a foreign country for 3 months!  It's a lot of work, but that often means that the reward is greater.  We find so much satisfaction in having experiences WITH our kids - watching them do something hard or uncomfortable, try something new, or see people living in a different way and watching their hearts open up to them. Life with kids is AMAZING and we love them so much!

Then we took them to Playa Grande for a delicious lunch of sandwiches, pineapple, and chips and salsa.
