Best Waterfall Yet!

We read that there was a waterfall on the property of the farm, but that we would need to hire a guide to take us there.  In an attempt to save a couple hundred dollars, we opted to just go ourselves.  We figured we'd hiked to enough waterfalls by now that we could manage:).  We asked Evelio if he could show us where it was, and he ended up hiking the whole thing with us.  His sweet wife, Dolly, was so concerned that I didn't have any golashes that she lent me hers.  The rest of the kids had some, but Adam didn't have any.  He assumed his Chacos would work, but we were completely unaware of the thickness of the mud we'd be tromping through!  The hike was absolutely gorgeous, but at a few points we were up to our knees in mud!  I then understood Dolly's concern.  Adam's foot got so stuck in the mud that his Chaco broke:(.  We thought the mud at Rio Celeste was bad.....

I absolutely love being in nature.  The sounds, the smells, the quiet, the peace, the fresh air.  The kids were troopers in that mud and we laughed and laughed the whole time!  There are a million pictures on the this post, but I couldn't give any up.  This day was one of my favorites!

We made it!  It was two-tiered and absolutely stunning!

Evelio helped Adam hook up this rope and we hiked up to the little pool in between the two waterfalls.  There was a perfect cliff to jump off.  Ahhh, is this really happening?!!!

Jade jumped over and over and over and over!  She is quite the cliff jumper!  I was excited because I love to cliff jump too, so after everyone else was done, she and I kept going together and had so much fun!

 Even Lincoln went!

This is the frog;).  Adam likes to tease me about how I cliff jump, so I exaggerated the pose for everyone to enjoy.

I couldn't pick between all of these cute pictures of this big girl and her daddy.  She wanted to climb the rope and join the big kids!  She is such a precious, easy going girl and travels so well!

Lily was thinking about it, but decided it would be too cold, so she just watched.

Jade and I found another little place to jump off.  I love doing hard things, like climbing up mossy, slippery rocks and having to hold onto vines and roots to get up. It makes it all the more fun!

Brig was upset because we forgot to bring his wetsuit.  His skinny little body gets so cold and the wetsuit has been a great thing for him.  He assumed it would be too cold for him and didn't want to go, but we finally convinced him:).

Sooo cool to look down off the top of the waterfall!!!!  What a cool place!

He just had to go again.  It's too fun to resist!

These little coconuts are SO delicious and refreshing!  Adam asked Evelio to show him how to get them out of the tree so we could have some every day.
After having way too much fun for hours, we decided we'd better head back on the muddy trail.

I had to carry Eliza, so Lily took the gigantic backpack. She's so tough.  She likes doing things that show off her strength!

After losing his Chaco, Adam hiked barefoot.

Lincoln's golashes were rubbing on his ankles so bad he was crying, so sweet Evelio carried him nearly the whole way home!  He was a little uncomfortable at first.  It was so funny:  he was whining and crying and we couldn't seem to solve his problems, so Evelio just scooped him up and said something to him in Spanish and he immediately stopped crying.  He didn't dare complain to Evelio! What a kind man Evelio is.  He seemed to love our kids like a grandfather.
